KATHREIN Digital Systems (KATHREIN DS), market leader for the digital reception and distribution of satellite, terrestrial, cable or IP signals, have replaced their well-known range of SAT antenna heaters with new, modern special heating mats. This refers in detail to ESO 90 H, ESO 120 H, ESO 124 H, ESO 124 HL, ESO 180 H and ESO 180 HL. The previously used heating systems, consisting of plastic shells and panels, are giving way to new and modern heating mats, which are characterised above all by improved heat distribution. This effect is achieved by an optimised fit of the heating mat on the reflector as well as a thermal insulation made of bubble wrap with a reflective layer.
Furthermore, the heating behaviour can be precisely defined via the built-in sensor together with the optionally available temperature controls. Except for the HL variants, the new heaters can also be operated without additional temperature control.
Like their predecessors, the new heaters are available for the antenna sizes 90, 120 and 180 cm, i.e. for the Kathrein antenna types CAS 90, CAS 120, CAS 124 and CAS 180. For the CAS 124 and CAS 180, there is also an enhanced version with double the heating power for exposed locations, recognisable by the marking “HL”. With the new reflector heaters, KATHREIN Digital Systems GmbH provides excellent products for professional applications where perfect satellite reception must be ensured even under extreme weather conditions.
The novel special heating mats are already available from stock. An overview of the available special heating mats for retrofitting existing antennas is available to interested customers here.
As before, Kathrein continues to offer prefabricated SAT antennas with heating. Further information is available here.
