Thanks to today’s distribution technology, community systems and even entire blocks of flats can be supplied with the programme variety of several satellites via a single satellite antenna. Only a few of our system components are required to expand a new or existing satellite system flexibly and easily to include additional connections.

Using single-cable technology to achieve full programme variety

In single-cable or Unicable technology, multiple receivers are connected to a single cable. In contrast to common single-cable solutions with a limited choice of channels, our Unicable solution provides you with the full programme variety in best HD and 4k quality. Special Unicable-compatible multi-switches or LNBs (“Low Noise Blocks”) serve as distribution units.

Background information: Instead of transmitting a complete frequency band, a specific wavelength in the range from 950 MHz to 2150 MHz is available to each receiver. The receiver uses special signals to inform the multi-switch or LNB of the corresponding frequency of the desired TV programme. In principle, all receivers that comply with the European standard EN 50494 can be used in a single-cable system.

A SAT>IP server turns your smartphone into a TV set

In addition to conventional satellite reception equipment such as receivers and TV sets, Internet-based devices are becoming increasingly important. Thanks to our SAT>IP solution, it has become very easy to receive top-quality TV programmes on your tablet, smartphone or even game console. This is made possible by the SAT>IP communication protocol, which converts the satellite signals into Internet-enabled signals and transmits them to the respective Internet-enabled receiver. The signals can be transmitted via cable as well as wirelessly.
