It is therefore operated on two free connections of a multi-switch (e.g. EXR 2908) or on two connections of a twin or quad feed system (e.g. UAS 585) - The single-cable mini multi-switch generates the 14/18 V and 22 kHz required to control and supply the connected multi-switch or feed system, as well as the DiSEqC™ commands, from the output voltage of the receiver
- If all receivers are switched off, the single-cable mini multi-switch does not require any power
- For transponder selection, special tuner modules, so-called SCRs (Satellite Channel Routers), are integrated in the single-cable mini multi-switch for conversion to the subscriber frequencies
- Each receiver is assigned a fixed subscriber frequency (a twin receiver requires two subscriber frequencies)
- Complies with the SCR single cable standard in accordance with EN 50494, i.e. the connected receivers must also comply with this standard
- Reception of the terrestrial range 5-862 MHz via input A is also possible when the satellite receiver is switched off
- To operate a power supply system with more than 80 mA or multi-switches with more than 2 x 40 mA current consumption, the NCF 18 plug-in power supply unit (not included in the scope of delivery) must be connected to the socket marked DC
