Innovative Kathrein Wallbox (KWB) systems enable efficient and future-proof solutions for a wide range of applications in private, commercial and public environments.
The different Kathrein wallbox variants (KWB-AC20/AC40/AC60) with power levels of 11KW and 22KW can be networked via LAN, WIFI and LTE. The authorization of the charging process takes place via RFID. Standardized communication protocols such as TCP/IP, MODBus, EEBus and OCPP enable networking and integration into energy management solutions, PV surplus stores and back-end systems. Integrated MID meters are usually sufficient for energy measurement in the private and sometimes in the semi-public sector. The wallbox variants conforming to calibration law are necessary for chargeable billing of the charged energy. The wallbox is controlled via app and web applications.

The convincing feature set of KATHREIN charging stations offers charging power of 11 kW or 22 kW, integrated charging cable or charging socket, RFID and app authentication or Plug & Charge (identification via the vehicle).

Networking via LAN, WLAN or LTE is guaranteed, as is energy measurement via MID-certified meters, the interface to smart home and PV systems or backend systems. Or use the automated cluster configuration and local load management (monitoring / documentation / archiving) of the charging process via app or web platform. Private applications

The private wallbox at the home or in the apartment building enables charging of the electric vehicle at any time. The discreet design options allow smart adaptation to the environment. With the Kathrein KWB you can also be seen.
The easy handling of the compact Kathrein wallbox variants offer uncomplicated and fast charging.
For billing the charged energy, e.g. for company vehicles, the variants with MID meters are recommended – if desired also in compliance with calibration regulations.
If you already have a PV system or are planning one, you are ideally prepared for the future with PV surplus charging and bi-directional charging.
Via APP and web applications, you can directly control and monitor the wallbox from anywhere and at any time.

Our modular and solution-oriented wallbox platform for the commercial sector offers smart functions and standardized interfaces that make charging electric vehicles even more convenient.

With regard to the steady growth and corresponding implementation of wallbox solutions in the energy supply network, topics such as load management, connections to higher-level energy management systems, networking and scalable solutions are becoming increasingly relevant.

Public applications

Semi-public and public areas such as parking lots, underground garages and shopping malls usually require system components to comply with calibration laws. Our wallbox variants, which comply with calibration regulations, enable efficient installation of this charging infrastructure.

Typically, the charged energy is billed to the user. This billing is done by connecting and transferring data to a backend system. The KWB variants can address different systems via standardized interfaces and protocols.

An additional requirement relates to the simultaneous charging of multiple electric cars. Here, it is important to intelligently distribute the available amount of energy among the electric vehicles to be charged.
