Do you want to set up a home network without having to renew the existing cabling in the house? Then the products from the K-LAN series are just right for you. Simply use the existing coaxial cable structure of your satellite or cable TV system in the house: without major intervention and without much installation effort. Since the configuration of K-LAN is done automatically, you do not need any software.
The K-LAN system is ideal for the network connection of receivers, TV sets and Blu-ray players. PCs and other network-compatible devices can also be
can be conveniently connected to a router (e.g. FRITZ!Box).
The IP data packets and IP traffic are transmitted via the existing terrestrial distribution – without interference and over a distance of up to 700 meters.
The EXI 01 modem is required to convert the IP data back at the subscriber sockets. If the multiswitch in the satellite reception system is not an EXI 3591, you need an additional EXI 01 modem to feed the IP frequency range from the router into the coaxial network. This can be done at any point in the coaxial distribution system. For optimum performance, we recommend using the EXI 30 socket, which was specially developed for K-LAN. In this case, the return path area is connected to the satellite connection, allowing the modem to be remotely powered via the satellite receiver and eliminating the need for the modem’s power supply. Pay attention with the
entire terrestrial distribution (including the sockets used) that the frequency range of 5-68 MHz is supported.
