The power supply of the VWS 2551 and LNB supply is done by remote supply from the multi-switch, e.g. EXR 2508, via the satellite branch “horizontal low”.
The VWS 2551 can also be optionally powered via the DC connection with the NCF 18 power supply unit (not included in the scope of delivery)
When power is supplied via the DC connector, only the amplifier itself is supplied, but not the LNB power supply
Kathrein Power Saving: In systems that support Kathrein Power Saving (KPS), the LNB supply is switched off as soon as no receiver is in operation.
